The Executive Committee of YESAB may establish
a Panel of the Board to conduct a review of:

-
an existing project
- a temporary shutdown, an abandonment or a decommissioning
of an existing project
- a significant change to an existing project
This may be done only at the request of the government which
has administrative authority for the project, or at the request
of a First Nation and with the consent of the federal and/or territorial
minister.
The recommendations resulting from the Panel review will be provided
to the relevant administrative authority which must give full
and fair consideration to the recommendations.
