Which project proposal form do I need to fill out for my YESAB submission?
Depending on the type of project, YESAB has created a series of forms and guides to assist in the development of project proposals. Proponents must use one of the following forms:
Does my project require an assessment?
Generally a project that takes place in Yukon will require an assessment if a permit or authorization is required. Follow this link for more detail.
Where can I find information about a project?
To find a project proposal under assessment go to the YESAB Online Registry and search via the YOR’s advanced search function.
How do I ask for an extension to my project assessment?
Requests for project extensions can be done by contacting the Designated Office that is assessing the project or submitting a request to the project file on the YESAB Online Registry.
Does my project require a Designated Office evaluation or an Executive Committee screening?
About 95% of assessments conducted by YESAB are at the Designated Office level. If you have a project that is large and/or complex in nature contact the Executive Committee to confirm that a screening is required.

How do I get notifications about project assessments?
Does YESAB conduct site inspections?
Assessors can conduct site visits, however inspections and enforcement duties are the responsibility of government regulators.

How do I request an extension to the public comment period?
Requests for extensions to the public comment period can be done by contacting the Designated Office that is assessing the project or submitting a request to the project file on the YESAB Online Registry.
A request for an extension to the public comment period must be done during the Seeking Views and Information period of the evaluation (when the evaluation is open for comment).

Is YESAB responsible for enforcement and compliance?
No, all enforcement and compliance duties are the responsibility of the government regulator.
Is YESAB part of Yukon Government?
No, YESAB is an independent Board.
Does YESAB issue permits?
No, all permits and authorizations are issued by the Regulator. However, most permits and authorizations require an assessment from YESAB prior to being issued.
