About YESAB

About YESAB

YESAB conducts independent assessments of proposed projects in the Yukon to identify potential environmental and socio-economic effects before decisions are made.

Our role is to examine how proposed activities may affect the environment, communities, economies, and cultures, and to provide recommendations that help decision bodies make informed choices.

Purpose

YESAB’s purpose, on behalf of all Canadians, is to conduct neutral assessments in the Yukon that contribute to protecting the environment and the social, economic, and cultural well-being of First Nations and residents.
